Rebranding for a Local Business
Logo Redesign
For our first step to rebranding a local business, we were to recreate a logo for a local business of our choosing in the downtown Atlanta area. One restaurant that caught my eye was this Italian restaurant called Amalfi Pizza. Their logo was very simple and boring, and I thought that it could use some sprucing up. I went with a very simple thin font to convey an "Italian feel" and also to give it more of an "upscale feel" as well. I felt that rendering the A's as very simple pizza slices would bring an appeal to the logo, and also hint that it is a pizza place instead of putting the word "pizza" in with the name of the restaurant.
Business Card Redesign
This is the business card idea that I designed for Amalfi Pizza. The card includes the redesigned logo I created for the business along with the owner's name, location, website, and info email for customers to contact.
Ad Campaign Redesign
I created an 'Italian feel' for this ad campaign that I made. I was aiming to take a spin on classic Italian artwork and added googley eyes over them to exaggerate them looking at the pizza. I also redrew some classic artwork and tried to make it look iconic.
Website Layout Redesign
I created a layout in Adobe Illustrator to show how the Amalfi Pizza website layout would look like. I designed 4 different pages to display for the website. The home page I created includes a picture I took of the entrance of the restaurant followed with a brief story about Amalfi Pizza. I included one of the ad campaign characters I created for the restaurant at the bottom of the website to repeat the idea of branding. I also included a review the restaurant received online at the bottom to show how the public feels about their food. At the bottom of each page, I included their location, social media, and contact info. The layouts for each page use the same branding colors I chose which are red, black, and white. For the Menu page, I tried to make the layout interesting, and organize the information of what they serve in a pleasing way. For the Book a Reservation page, I include the hours of operation, 2 pictures of the tables in the restaurant that I took, a drop down box for customers to easily book a reservation, and more of a brief description of Amalfi Pizza. And the last page I designed is the Photo Gallery so that customers can look at the establishment, and get a good idea of the aesthetic layout of this unique downtown restaurant.
